Meet our Pets of the Week:

Sophie

Sophie • Domestic Short Hair • Adult • Female • Up-to-date with routine shots • House trained • Primary colors: Grey/Orange

Meet Sophie! Sophie was picked up as a stray, and has not been claimed. Sophie is a little shy and frightened, and likely, hasn't had a lot of socialization. She is improving steadily day by day and is allowing shelter staff to pick her up and handle her, although she is still somewhat scared and timid. If you would like to meet Sophie, or, would like further information, please contact the Humane Society.

Pet of the week price: $15 (spay/neuter deposit may apply for intact animals). Now through Saturday 5-19-12

Ruby

Ruby • American Pit Bull Terrier Mix • Young Adult • Female • Up-to-date with routine shots • Primary colors: Tan • Coat length: Short

Meet beautiful Ruby! Ruby is a gorgeous, petite Pitbull with an adorable white sock on her front right paw. Ruby is a high-energy dog with athleticism to spare! She is fleet-footed and can run like the wind! We discovered that Ruby really enjoys things that go "SQUEAK"! She had a great deal of fun squeaking her new tennis ball. It was difficult for her to give it up, once it was time to go back inside the kennel. Ruby will need a home that can provide her the exercise she will need to be a happy dog. Ruby is smart and would excel in obedience, or agility. Ruby would also make a fabulous running partner (if YOU could keep up with her pace!) As Ruby is an owner surrender, she is available for adoption immediately. Let's hope her time at the shelter is a brief one.
