Featured Pets:

Snowflakes

Snowflakes • Domestic Short Hair • Adult • Female (spayed) • Up-to-date with routine shots • House trained • Primary colors: Black

Snowflakes is a survivor! In January, staff responded to a report that over a dozen cats had been abandoned outside a farm -- during a week of 20- and 30- below temperatures. Some succumbed to frostbite, but Snowflakes appeared to be healthy and has thrived and grown at the shelter. So named for the few white hairs on her head and the conditions where she was found, Snowflakes enjoys prowling around the adoption room, always watchful. She gets along with other cats and is wary of dogs. If you have a warm spot for the tale of an intrepid kitty, please contact the Humane Society.

Featured pet price: $15 (spay/neuter deposit may apply for intact animals).

Baby

Baby • American Pit Bull Terrier mix • Young Adult • Female • Up-to-date with routine shots • Primary colors: Brindle • Coat length: Short

Baby is a very sweet pit bull mix who came to us as a stray. She arrived with a severe case of a condition in which the eyelids grow inward and the eyelashes irritate the cornea and other tissues. Generous donors made it possible for Baby to have surgery to correct this condition, and she is well on her way to recovery. Baby loves people but suffers from separation anxiety and will need a patient, loving home to help her gain confidence and curb anxious behaviors. She is energetic and athletic and craves someone to play with! If you would like to meet Baby, please contact the Humane Society.

Featured pet price: $60 (spay/neuter deposit may apply for intact animals).
