The Humane Society of Otter Tail County tries to place every pet that comes to us in a safe, loving and permanent home. Because it is our responsibility to make sure that our animals get a better chance the second time around, we have a few adoption rules and requirements. We encourage you to bring your family and/or household members with you when come to meet our pets. Adding a pet to your household should be a decision that everyone in the home agrees on and feels good about.

Monday: 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
Tuesday - Friday: 10:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M.
Saturday: 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.

Please note that there is an adoption fee in order to cover the costs of vaccinations, de-worming, disease screening and spaying/neutering of all of the animals who come to us.  In order to be considered for an adoption you must:

• Fill out an adoption application, subject to the Humane Society of Otter Tail County's approval

• Be at least 18 years of age

• Have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in your household

• Provide a valid ID with a current address and year of birth.

• Provide your landlord's name and phone number (or lease) or other proof of consent to have pets on the property.

• Provide verification that all current dogs and cats in the home are up-to-date on vaccinations.
